The Thai junta has proposed to turn attitude adjustment sessions into a special course for politicians while the junta leader said that politicians who do not understand the regime should not be politicians. Gen Prayut Chan-o-cha, the junta leader and Prime Minister, on Monday, 28 March 2016, told the media at Government House that the so-called attitude adjustment sessions, coercive discussions forced upon political dissidents by the military, will become more standardised.

Military officers cited absolute power to abduct a Pheu Thai party politician and reportedly threatened to arrest his family. Matichon Online reported that on Sunday, 27 March 2016, Watana Muangsook, a key leader of the Pheu Thai party, sent a message via the Line chat application to a reporter at 6:08 pm, saying that military officers in two military vehicles visited his house in Bangkok while he was not at home.

The Thai military have informed a former politician from the Pheu Thai party that he will be taken in for an attitude adjustment session over remarks against the junta leader.   Matichon Online reported on Friday, 25 March 2016, that Worachai Hema, former Member of Parliament for Samut Prakan Province from the Pheu Thai Party, told media that military officers had informed him that they will take him for a so-called attitude adjustment session.

The Thai military has summoned the leaders of southern rubber farmers calling for the government to subsidize rubber prices for attitude adjustment while the junta leader said that no subsidy will be provided. According to Komchadluek News, military officers at 10 am on Monday, 11 January 2015, summoned 50 key leaders of the southern rubber farmers for an attitude adjustment session at Vibhavadi Rangsit Military Camp in the southern province of Surat Thani.

The Thai military summoned a former politician in Isan, Thailand’s Northeast, for an ‘attitude adjustment’ session after he complained about falling rice prices.   According to Matichon Online, on Monday, 14 December 2015, Maj Gen Achichat Rojanapirom, commander of the 22nd Army Division in Warin Chamrap District of the northeastern province of Ubon Ratchathani, summoned Somkid Cheukong, a former Member of Parliament for the Pheu Thai Party for a brief ‘attitude adjustment’ session.

The Thai junta has summoned a renowned cartoonist from Thairath, the biggest circulation newspaper in Thailand, for ‘attitude adjustment’, saying that he distorted facts about the regime.   The junta’s National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO) summoned Sakda Sae-eaw, known by his penname of Sia, a cartoonist whose column is on Thairath page 3, to report to the Royal Thai Army Headquarters in Bangkok at 10 am on Sunday, 4 October 2015.

The military officers in northern Thailand have attempted to prevent a group of villagers from submitting a complaint to the provincial governor, saying that the act might breach the Public Assembly Act recently enacted.

Thai authorities ordered the eviction of the villagers allegedly encroaching on public land and threatened to detain them if they did not comply, citing law and order as a justification. Meanwhile, the villagers said that the authorities were acting in the interests of an oil palm business.
