<p>On 5 May 1966, Jit Phumisak was killed in Ban Nong Kung, Sakhon Nakhon. On the occasion of the 53rd anniversary of his death, we look back at Jit&#39;s life and his work as a composer and songwriter.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Among a wilderness of green shrubbery, Somkit Singsong sat in front of a small clay hut outside his village in Khon Kaen province.
