<p>Sitanan Satsaksit, sister of missing Thai activist Wanchalearm Satsaksit, testified to the Department of Special Investigation on 25 March on her brother&#39;s disappearance and said&nbsp;she has evidence of her brother being in Cambodia before he went missing.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The decision by the Royal Thai Army to charge Pornpen Khongkachonkiet and the Cross Cultural Foundation with criminal defamation is in line with similar charges brought earlier by the Royal Thai Navy against Phuketwan online newspaper.&nbsp; It also heralds a slew of similar prosecutions which critics say are designed to silence any criticism of the governing military junta and the government they have installed.</p>

<p>On 3 May 2012, en route the Highway 42 between Narathiwat and Pattani, in Moo 6, Ban Bangomulong, Tambon Traobon, Saiburi District, Pattani, over five gunmen shot and killed Mr. Sangworn Suwanrat, 57 years, Kamnan (Head of Subdistrict) of Tambon Thungkhla, Saiburi, Mr. Preecha Thongead, 48 years, Deputy Kamnan, Mrs. Subhabhon Charoensuk, 45 years, Assistant Kamnan, and Miss Pornthip Phongern, 43 years, Assistant Kamnan, and took away their firearms and money.</p>

<p>On 6 March 2012, a report has been submitted to the UPR Working Group under the United Nations Human Rights Council (HRC) summarizing recommendations which have been accepted and rejected by the Royal Thai Government (RTG). The report was deliberated by the UNHRC on 15 March 2012.</p>

<p>At least two major incidences happened with children in November 2009. On 16 November, around 17.00, a school bus was hit by gunshots fired from a motorcycle on the road between Panare-Saban, Moo 4, Ban Hua Klong, Tambon Bannok, Panare district, Pattani. Three children from 12-18 years were injured including two boys who suffered two gun wounds on their limbs, and a 12-year-old-girl on her knees. They have been hospitalized and been safe. At the crime scene, four used 11mm bullets were found, but no culprits determined.&nbsp;</p>
