<p>The Sub-Committee on Torture and Enforced Disappearance of the Ministry of Justice has called off its investigation into the alleged beating of two protesters while in the custody of officers from Din Daeng Police Station, ruling that the beating does not constitute torture.</p>

<p>Warit Somnoi, 15, who was shot following a Din Daeng intersection protest on the night of 16 August 2021, has died after spending 2 months in a coma at Rajavithi Hospital&rsquo;s intensive care unit.</p>

<p>On 10 October, a 14-year-old boy was taken from his house to the Din Daeng Police Station and pressured to confess that he shot a crowd control police officer in the head on 6 October, according to <a href="https://twitter.com/TLHR2014/status/1447293965019975680">Thai Lawyers for Human Rights (TLHR)</a>.</p>

<p>The Thai authorities must urgently investigate the shooting of protesters in Bangkok that has left one child in a critical condition, Amnesty International said after confirming that three children were injured by live rounds of ammunition during a demonstration outside a police station on Monday.</p>

<p>The activist group Thalufah returned in a third protest march to demand the resignation of Prime Minister Gen Prayut Chan-o-cha, which ended again with police violence.&nbsp;</p>
