The Thai authorities should fully and fairly prosecute the police officers responsible for the death of a drug suspect, as well as criminalize torture and establish a process independent of the police that can independently investigate and prosecute police officers for wrongdoing, said Human Rights Watch today (26 August), following the release of a video clip showing Nakhon Sawan police officers torturing and killing 24-year-old Jeerapong Thanapat.
