A military court has acquitted a well-known labour unionist accused violating a summons from the junta. On 6 July 2017, the Military Court of Bangkok acquitted Jittra Cotchadet, a labour activist, former president of the Triumph Workers Union and MP candidate for the Democratic Force Party. Jittra was accused of violating National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO) Announcement No. 41/2014 for failing to report to the authorities in June 2014 when she was in Sweden at the time.

  Bangkok Military Court on Monday sentenced an anti-coup protester to six months in jail and sentenced red-shirt figure ‘Tom Dundee’ to a year in jail for not reporting as ordered by the junta. The sentences were halved and suspended because they pleaded guilty.

  The Crime Suppression Division has issued arrest warrants for labour unionist Jittra Cotchadet and nine others, most affiliated with the red shirts, for not reporting as ordered by the military junta.    The ten are:   1 Samran Saichana 2 Thanadej Eakapiwat 3 Attachai Anantamek 4 Yodyiem Simanta 5 Noi Dangpao 6 Narongsak Plai-aram 7 Jittra Cotchadet 8 Pipat Pansuwan 9 Siripob Pansuwan 10 Wanchalerm Satsaksit
