He threatened his family to make him delete a Facebook post taken from an official source. The health of his already sickening grandmother has worsened.

The Thai military officers in Isan, northeastern Thailand, summoned a student filmmaker for talks because the student did not asked for permissions to film a documentary in a restricted area with protracted mining conflict. On 24 July 2015, the military officers of the northeastern Maha Sarakham Province summoned Pariwat Kampeera, a 21 years-old student of Maha Sarakham University for a discussion over a documentary he had filmed for a TV program called ‘Thi Nee Ban Rao’ (This is my home) of Thai Public Broadcasting Service (Thai PBS).

The military sent police officers to interrogate a university lecturer suspected of hanging an anti-junta banner. Two police officers came to Mahasarakham University in the northeastern province of Maha Sarakham at around 5 pm on Thursday to interrogate Vinai Poncharoen, a lecturer at the Political Science Faculty of the university, at his office after he posted a picture of an anti-junta banner with the message “Down with dictatorship, democracy will triumph” on his Facebook page on Wednesday.

  The military on Monday evening released Nanthapong Bunpong, a student activist from Mahasarakham University in northeastern Maha Sarakham Province, after detaining him for four days.    This was the second time Nanthapong was ordered to report to the military authorities.   At 1 pm on Friday, the student activist reported to the junta’s National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO) Maha Sarakham Headquarters, Maha Sarakham Governmental Complex, and was arrested.

  Nanthapong Bunpong, a student activist from Mahasarakham University in northeastern Maha Sarakham Province, has been detained by the military for 24 hours. His fate is completely unknown to friends and family.    According to the Thai Student Centre for Democracy, this is the second time that Nanthapong was ordered to report to the junta’s National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO).
