<p>Police have summoned at least ten people in the central province of Ratchaburi for allegedly violating the junta’s ban on political assemblies after they gathered for a meal at the red shirts’ referendum watch centre.</p>
<p>Police from Ban Pong District Police Station in Ratchaburi Province on Monday, 20 June 2016, issued warrants summoning Boribun Kiangwarangkun and at least 10 others in the district to report to the police station at 10:30 am on 26 June 2016. </p>
<p>Activists charged over Rajabhakti Park trip refuse to be tried by Military Court</p>

<p>Embattled anti-junta activists charged with defying the Thai junta’s ban on political gatherings by organizing a field trip to Rajabhakti Park, the military’s royal theme park plagued with corruption allegations, have refused to be tried by a Military Court.</p>
<p>A District Court has confirmed that the Military Court has jurisdiction over trials of anti-junta activists charged with violating the junta’s political gathering ban, saying the junta has successfully gained control of the country since the coup d’état.</p>
<p>The Military Court of Bangkok on Tuesday, 7 June 2016, held a deposition hearing for Natchacha Kongudom, an anti-junta youth activist indicted for violating the National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO) Head’s Order No. 3/2015. The order prohibits any political gathering of five or more persons.</p>
<p>One step closer to being tried by a Military Court, two embattled anti-junta academics stand firm, saying they only exercised the rights they are entitled to.</p>
<p>Thai military detained political dissidents associated with the anti-establishment red shirt and raided their houses together with Pheu Thai politicians in a campaign to crackdown on mafia. </p>
<p>A combined military and police force on Thursday morning, 12 May 2016, raided at least a dozen of houses in the central provinces of Samut Prakan and Chachoengsao in a campaign called ‘Cleaning Pak-nam, Getting rid of Influential Figures’ to crackdown on mafia.</p>
<p>The Thai military have reportedly abducted a cameraman and another individual in the central province of Samut Prakan after attempting to break into the house of a Pheu Thai Party politician earlier this morning.</p>
<p dir="ltr">Thai academics have urged the UN to investigate human rights abuses as the Thai junta increases its crackdown on political dissidents ahead of the referendum on the draft constitution.</p>
<p>The<a href="https://web.facebook.com/BBCThai/posts/1769882346566131"> BBC Thai</a> reported that 12 academics from leading universities in Thailand on Thursday, 5 May 2016, submitted a letter to the UN, urging the UN human rights office to investigate the increasing violations and abuses of human rights done by the Thai authorities.</p>
<p>The Thai media has called on the Thai junta to abolish orders restricting freedom of the press while the junta leader scolded them for their demand, implying that the Thai media already enjoys enough freedom. </p>
<p>The Military Court has detained a supporter of <a href="http://www.prachatai.org/english/category/the-eight-abducted-junta-critics">the eight abducted junta critics</a>. He is accused by the junta’s legal team of lѐse majesté.</p>
<p>The Military Court of Bangkok on Saturday morning, 30 April 2016, granted police permission to detain Burin Intin, who was arrested by the police on Wednesday evening for <a href="http://www.prachatai.org/english/node/6091">gathering with 15 other activists to show solidarity with the abducted junta critics</a>.</p>
<p>Military prosecutors have indicted six activists for demanding an investigation into the Rajabhakti Park corruption scandal. </p>
<p>At the Military Court of Bangkok on Monday afternoon, 25 April 2016, staff of the military Judge Advocate General’s Department, indicted Sirawit Serithiwat, a student activist from New Democracy Movement, Anon Nampa, a human rights lawyer and core leader of Resistant Citizen, Kititach Suman, Wisarut Anupoonkarn, Koranok Kamda and Wijit Hanhaboon, for violating the junta’s political gathering ban.</p>
<p>The military has summoned the leader of an embattled indigenous seafarer community in the southern province of Phuket for a discussion, accusing him of violating a junta order.</p>
<p>Thai military have detained fishermen in eastern Thailand who earlier launched a complaint to the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) about an eviction by the military. </p>
