The Thai media has called on the Thai junta to abolish orders restricting freedom of the press while the junta leader scolded them for their demand, implying that the Thai media already enjoys enough freedom.

The Military Court has detained a supporter of the eight abducted junta critics.  He is accused by the junta’s legal team of lѐse majesté. The Military Court of Bangkok on Saturday morning, 30 April 2016, granted police permission to detain Burin Intin, who was arrested by the police on Wednesday evening for gathering with 15 other activists to show solidarity with the abducted junta critics.

Military prosecutors have indicted six activists for demanding an investigation into the Rajabhakti Park corruption scandal.    At the Military Court of Bangkok on Monday afternoon, 25 April 2016, staff of the military Judge Advocate General’s Department, indicted Sirawit Serithiwat, a student activist from New Democracy Movement, Anon Nampa, a human rights lawyer and core leader of Resistant Citizen, Kititach Suman, Wisarut Anupoonkarn, Koranok Kamda and Wijit Hanhaboon, for violating the junta’s political gathering ban.

Military freed an anti-junta facebook administrator after detaining him incommunicado for seven days. According to Thai Lawyers for Human Rights (TLHR), the family of Sarawut Bamrungkittikhun, the administrator of the Facebook page ‘Poet Praden’ (Open Issues), who was abducted by military officers last week, reported that Sarawut was released from the 45th Army Division in southern province of Surat Thani at 8 am on Wednesday, 16 March 2016.

The Thai military have abducted the administrator of an anti-junta Facebook page who has been reported missing since last week, according to Thai Lawyers for Human Rights (TLHR). TLHR on Monday, 14 March 2016, issued a public statement, urging the authorities to immediately release Sarawut Bamrungkittikhun, the administrator of the Facebook page ‘Poet Praden’ (Open Issues).
