<p>Thai PBS television channel decided to cancel the broadcast of the last programme of its talk show series discussing the issue of constitutional monarchy, after a group of about 20 ‘Thai patriots’ protested at the station on the evening of 15 March.</p>

<p>Since 21 February 2012, ten prominent Thai NGO/ labour union/ human rights activists have been on trial at the Criminal Court, Rachadapisek Road, Bangkok on serious criminal charges relating to national security, public peace, and trespass with use of force arising from a mass sit-in staged in the lobby in front of the meeting chamber of the National Legislative Assembly on 12 December 2007. If found guilty of all charges, they could face prison sentences of up to 7 years.<br /></p>

<p>The Campaign Committee for the Amendment of Article 112 is to appeal to the House Speaker, Somsak Kiatsuranont, to review his decision to reject parliamentary consideration of the draft amendment to the lèse majesté law.&nbsp; </p>
<p>The South Bangkok Criminal Court has scheduled 25 March to give its ruling on the Central World arson case during the political unrest on 19 May 2010.</p>

<p>Somyot Prueksakasemsuk’s request for bail was dismissed by the Appeals Court on 25 Jan, said his wife Sukanya after she went to the Criminal Court on 4 Feb.</p> <p>The bail request was submitted to the court immediately after the verdict was delivered on 23 Jan, she said.</p>
