Royal World Thailand has commented on a video clip believed to show Princess Ubolratana Rajakanya discussing the ongoing political situation in Thailand, saying that it is not actually the princess.

<p>A Facebook user from Phitsanulok was arrested on Thursday (2 December) on a royal defamation charge, after she posted a picture of King Vajiralongkorn changing the seasonal decoration of the Emerald Buddha, edited so that the Buddha is wearing a dress.</p>

<p>Student activist Panusaya Sithijirawattanakul was arrested on Wednesday (22 September) and charged with sedition due to her involvement with the Facebook page of the student activist group United Front of Thammasat and Demonstration (UFTD).</p>

<p>On Friday morning (17 September), police officers raided the house of members of the student activist group United Front of Thammasat and Demonstration (UFTD), confiscating mobile phones and computers and arresting one person.</p>

<p>Activist and human rights lawyer Anon Nampa have been denied bail after he was arrested on a royal defamation charge due to his speech at the <a href="https://prachatai.com/english/node/9383">second Harry Potter protest</a> on 3 August 2021 at the Bangkok Art and Culture Centre (BACC).</p>
