A high school student has been summoned by the police for participating in an anti-government protest in Ratchaburi on 1 August and accused of violating the Emergency Decree and the Public Assembly Act.

A Prachatai journalist and four pro-democracy activists who were indicted for distributing leaflets against the junta-backed draft charter, have insisted on fighting their case for the cause of freedom of expression.   On 21 September 2016, Ratchaburi Provincial Court held a conciliation session in the case of Taweesak Kerdpoka, a Prachatai journalist, and four anti-junta activists.

Police have summoned at least ten people in the central province of Ratchaburi for allegedly violating the junta’s ban on political assemblies after they gathered for a meal at the red shirts’ referendum watch centre. Police from Ban Pong District Police Station in Ratchaburi Province on Monday, 20 June 2016, issued warrants summoning Boribun Kiangwarangkun and at least 10 others in the district to report to the police station at 10:30 am on 26 June 2016.
