<p>The Emergency Operations Command&rsquo;s order to block PTV has affected over 10 other customers of the Thaicom satellite. &nbsp;PM&rsquo;s Office Minister Sathit Wongnongtoey says the Thaicom company has to take responsibility for compensation.</p>

<p>In response to long-standing land problems in the country, the government has just passed a resolution to allow communities to farm state land for a period of 30 years. &nbsp;A mechanism will be created to issue &lsquo;community title deeds&rsquo;, and oversee the practice of the farming communities. &nbsp;However, farmers who have long struggled over land rights issues are sceptical of this government measure, as opposed to their own version of community title deeds.&nbsp;</p>
<p>On 5 Oct, PM&rsquo;s Office Minister Sathit Wongnongtoey denied as untrue criticism by the Pheua Thai Party and some newspapers that his &lsquo;Thais United, Thais Strong Project&rsquo; had squandered Bt60 million of public money.</p>
<p>The government will encourage the Thai people in all provinces to come out to sing the National Anthem at 6 pm every day until 5 Dec to promote unity and patriotism. The events will be broadcast live from each province, starting with Krabi.</p>
<p>Thai media, freedom of speech, and freedom to information are under threat in Thailand by a government that is robbing the people of their rights and freedoms.&nbsp;</p>
