On the International Day of the Victims of Enforced Disappearances, the student activist group Spring Movement and Amnesty International Thailand organized the “Separation/(Silence)” exhibition at the 14 October Memorial in memory of victims of enforced disappearances in Thailand.

The disappearance of Thai activist in exile Wanchalearm Satsaksit has sparked a wave of NGOs, activists, and members of the public both online and offline who are calling for justice. Netizens are using the #savewanchalearm (#saveวันเฉลิม) to show their support, while at least three demonstrations have been staged in his name since Friday.

The Emergency Decree will remain in effect through May, and measures including flight bans, the night time curfew, the ban on social gatherings, and travel restrictions between provinces will continue to be enforced, announced Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) spokesperson Taweesin Visanuyothin on Monday (27 April.)
