Thai police have searched the house of a former high ranking palace official accused under the lèse majesté law, confiscating 10 million baht’s worth of cash and property.    According to the Thai News Agency, Pol Lt Gen Prawut Thavornsiri, spokesman of the Royal Thai Police, and investigating officers on Sunday carried out a search of the house of Montri S., a former palace official serving Srirasmi, the former royal consort to the Crown Prince. Montri is accused of citing the monarchy for personal gain.

A court in Bangkok on Friday sentenced the younger brother and two other relatives of the former royal consort to the Crown Prince to 11 years in jail, but since the defendants pleaded guilty, the jail term was halved.    Nattapong, Narong and Sittisak Suwadee were found guilty of making false claims about the Crown Prince to threaten a businessman into agreeing to reduce a debt. They were also found guilty of abduction, robbery, illegal possession of unauthorized weapons, and carrying weapons in a public place.

The Criminal Court on Thursday sentenced a man who claimed to be a relative of Srirasmi Suwadee, former royal consort to the Crown Prince, to ten years in jail for lèse majesté and two other charges, but the jail term was halved because he pleaded guilty.

The criminal court on Wednesday sentenced the parents of the former royal consort for making false claims about the Crown Prince, among other charges, to five years in jail, but since the defendants pleaded guilty the jail term was halved, ASTV-Manager Online reported.

The prosecutor has indicted the parents of the former royal consort for lèse majesté and objected to bail for the couple, citing the severity of the charges, according to Matichon Online. The prosecutor at Ratchada Criminal Court in Bangkok on Tuesday indicted Abhiruj Suwadee, 72, and Wantanee Suwadee, 66, the parents of Srirasmi Suwadee, former Royal Consort of Crown Prince Vajiralongkorn, of offences under Article 112 or the lèse majesté law, for filing a false police complaint, and for framing another, which led to the person serving a term in jail.

The parents of Srirasmi Suwadee, former royal consort to the Crown Prince, have confessed to lèse majesté allegations related to a case of adultery. Abhiruj Suwadee, 72, and Wantanee Suwadee, 66, on Friday morning confessed to the Crime Suppression Division (CSD) Police to offences under Article 112 or the lèse majesté law and for filing a false police complaint and framing others, which led to a person serving a term in jail.

A woman filed a lèse majesté complaint against the parents of the former royal consort to the Crown Prince, claiming that the couple framed her and made her go to jail.    Sawita Maneechan, 31, a native of western Ratchaburi Province, filed a complaint against Abhiruj Suwadee, 72, and Wantanee Suwadee, 66, the parents of Srirasmi Suwadee, former royal consort of Crown Prince Vajiralongkorn.

Police have arrested a relative of a former high ranking police officer who was earlier sentenced to 12 years in jail for lèse majesté and misconduct.    The police arrested Eakachai P. on Tuesday and accused him of claiming connections with the monarchy in offering to help a suspect in a drug case get out of jail.    Bantoeng Nameesean filed a police complaint on Monday.
