The People’s Center for Information on the April – May 2010 Crackdowns (PCI)
2017 marks the 7th anniversary of military operations against red shirt protesters in April 2017. Though many years have passed, justice has yet to come for the dead and injured victims of state-sanctioned political violence.
The Thai Criminal Court on Friday ruled that a red shirt was shot dead by army personnel during the military crackdown on red-shirt protesters in May 2010.
The People’s Center for Information on the April – May 2010 Crackdowns (PCI), launched on 19 July by a group of academics and activists called Santiprachadharma, has released information on the arrests and detentions of red shirts in Ubon Ratchathani, Khon Kaen, Mukdahan, Udon Thani, and Maha Sarakham.
