On Christmas day, the Criminal Court dismissed all charges against 9 activists who called for an election in front of the MBK department store in January 2018.

The 39 pro-election protesters have reported to the police to hear the charges against them. The courts released them without bail.     On 8 February 2018, 34 out of the 39 pro-election protesters known as the MBK 39 reported to Pathumwan Police Station to hear the charges against them. The junta accused the group of joining a public assembly on 27 January within 150 meters of a royal site, in violation of Article 7 of the 2015 Public Assembly Act.

A criminal court has issued an arrest warrant for an anti-corruption activist who posted the results of a political survey on Facebook. On 12 March 2017, Veera Somkwamkid, Secretary-General of the People’s Anti-Corruption Network, posted on his Facebook account that the Criminal Court on Ratchadapisek Road in Bangkok has approved an arrest warrant for him.
