On June 10, Thanapol Ewsakul, editor of Fah Diew Kan magazine and owner of www.sameskybooks.org, gave testimony at the Crime Suppression Division to police and public prosecutors as a witness for alleged offences on web-boards.
According to Thanapol, the investigators asked him to provide the IP addresses of those who posted offensive comments in 8 cases, but he refused, claiming he had had an agreement with web-board members not to give such information without court orders, and he had already deleted most of the comments, except some which he considered inoffensive.
Thanapol said the public prosecutors were present at this stage, because the cases concerned a foreign country as the website server was located abroad.
Police had summoned him to testify and give information 4-5 times before, he said.
Recently, the Fah Diew Kan publishing house announced on its web-board that in July it will separate the web-board from the website, and Thanapol will continue to be in charge of the web-board for three months before a new owner takes over.
