No Article 112 campaign

On 8 May, a group of about 20 people held a rally to call for the abolition of Article 112 of the Criminal Code at various BTS stations.

Anusorn, one of the activists, said that the activity was successful as it drew the attention of many people, including foreigners, who came to ask them what the number was about and took photographs of them.

He urged the public to help disseminate information about the lèse majesté law which was unjust and selectively used against certain groups of people.

On the same day, the Red Sunday group, led by Sombat Boon-ngam-anong, held another activity at the Peace Park near the Victory Monument.  People wearing red shirts formed up in the shape of the symbols ‘No 112’.
