Police to pay 500 baht reward for photos of anti-coup activity

The Royal Thai Police will give a reward of 500 baht for each picture taken of any person taking part in an anti-coup activity as evidence for an arrest, according to Royal Thai Police deputy commissioner Pol Gen Somyot Poompanmoung.

He said if a member of the public sees anyone expressing a symbolic intention that opposes the control of the National Council for Peace and Order, and can take photos and send them to the police as evidence leading to an arrest, the person will get 500 baht as a reward.

He said such photos can also be taken from social media or anywhere on the internet.
