On 11 October 2016, over a hundred riot police raided an apartment in Ramkhamhaeng District, Bangkok, following a report that three car-bombs may be set off in Bangkok during 25-30 October, reported the Manager Online.

According to the Manager Online, 10 suspects were arrested at an apartment in Soi Ramkhamhaeng 53 in the early morning. Pol Maj Gen Surachet Hakphan, who spearheaded the operation, said that it was part of the junta’s national security measures, adding that the 10 suspects already have arrest warrants against them and criminal records.

The suspects will be sent to the office of Metropolitan Police Division 4 for further interrogation.

The operation came a day after a warning from Deputy National Police Chief Gen Srivara Ransibrahmanakul that police had received intelligence on possible attacks to take place during late October in three locations in the capital and nearby provinces. While no targets were specified, there will be extra-tight security at tourist spots, embassies and symbolic locations, according to the Bangkok Post
