The case dated back to June last year (2018) when Thanathorn Juangroongruangkit broadcasted on Facebook Live to criticize the NCPO government for sucking former MPs to its sides. He is sued by Col. Burin Thongprapai, a representative of NCPO.
Sued under the Article 14 (2) for spreading false information that may threaten national security, the broadcast is called ‘Return Friday to People’ to jibe ‘Return Happiness to People’, a NCPO’s program on-air every Friday.
Klaikong Vaidhyakarn and Jaruwan Saranket, the registrar and an executive member of FFP also joined the broadcast. Pannikar Vanich, a spokesperson of FFP, told the press that the colleagues have been informed about the allegation in front of the officers since September 2018.

Testimonies were given, but later on the officer said that a dossier must be delivered to a public prosecutor by 22 Feb. Thanathorn will follow-up with the public prosecutor on 27 February if he will be issued with a prosecution and detention order.
Yesterday (20 Feb), Thanathorn launched a campaign rally at Siam Square, surrounded with a big crowd of supporters. He mentioned about the case that it does not discourage him. He will move the campaign forward and continue to ask for support from the voters who believe in justice.
