Kirin "Sai" Techawongtham lost her sight at the age of 13 due to a brain tumor. Two years ago, while studying in the US, Sai got Luther, a gentle and loving black Labrador who became her guide dog.
In the US, Luther went with Sai everywhere, helping her find her way around the city and the university campus. But now that Sai has graduated from her psychology degree and they are both back in Thailand, things have gotten much harder, as Sai and Luther have to navigate Bangkok's streets and trying to find a way to get around most places' prohibition of dogs.
In this video, our friends at ThisAble.me chat with Sai about Luther, using a guide dog, and living as a person with a disability in Thailand. You can also follow Sai and Luther's journey on their Facebook page ผมชื่อลูเต้อร์.
