On 2 November, the International Day to End Impunity for Crimes Against Journalists, the Cambodian Journalists Alliance Association (CamboJA), along with 19 other civil society organizations, issued a statement calling for the Cambodian government to conduct independent and transparent investigations of all crimes committed against journalists and human rights defenders in Cambodia.

<p>To mark the 9th International Day to End Impunity for Crimes against Journalists (IDEA) on 2 November, media workers from around Southeast Asia gathered together with international stakeholders to consider the how best to overcome prevailing constraints on regional media - legal, political and cultural.</p>

<p>Journalists in Thailand continue to face regular physical threats, lawsuits, and harassments from the authorities, most of which are not investigated and&nbsp;no perpetrator has been brought to justice.&nbsp;On the occasion of the&nbsp;International Day to End&nbsp;Impunity for&nbsp;Crimes against Journalists, Prachatai presents a report on the threats faced by journalists in Thailand and the impact of such threat on the journalists themselves and on communication rights.&nbsp;</p>

<p>On 2 November 2020, the International Day to End Impunity for Crimes Against Journalists, the Coalition for Women In Journalism issued a statement calling for justice for&nbsp;murdered, threatened, attacked, and harassed women journalists and for an end to impunity in crimes against them.&nbsp;</p>
