<p>A digital artist was arrested at her home on Thursday&nbsp;(30 June) on a royal defamation charge, after charges were filed against her for a portrait of King Vajiralongkorn published on Instagram in September 2021.</p>

<p>The Thai Film Director Association (TFDA) filed a petition on 7 July calling for the authorities to ease disease control measures and procure effective vaccines in order to allow film crews to work.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Thai artists are joining the online campaign &ldquo;#DrawTheJustice&rdquo; to protest against the unfair judicial process and for political activists currently facing charges or detained pending trial to be granted justice.</p>

<p>On Friday (14 February), Thai-French artist Aline Deschamps opened her new art and research exhibition &ldquo;<a href="https://www.facebook.com/events/631759140974185/?ti=ia">Luk Khrueng Generation</a>,&rdquo; at Hostbkk Gallery above Chandrphen restaurant on Rama 4 Road. The exhibition is in collaboration with Project 189 Bangkok.</p>

<p>On 4 February, Protection International (PI) launched the &ldquo;Art for Resistance: Quilt of Women Human Rights Defenders&rdquo; exhibition of 54 quilts by 52 women and 2 men human rights defenders from all over Thailand, at the Bangkok Art and Culture Centre (BACC).</p>
