Wound of the Soul

Wound of the Soul, a documentary by The Pen, tells the story of the effects of national security laws, such as martial law, emergency decree, and the National Security Act, on those who live in the Deep South.

Over 7000 people have been summoned under these special laws. Meanwhile, data from the 12th mental health centre of the Department of Mental Health states that, in 2017, there were 750 people affected by Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) in the three Deep South provinces, not including over 200 people who chose to seek treatment in a private institution, among which were at least 50 women and children.
